Very easy, circular route through some fantastic villages just west of York. Navigating was very easy as all of the villages were signposted, pretty much entirely on C roads but crosses the B road a couple of times. The roads were excellent to fair, the worst being some sections which were tarmaced but were very rough or had a lot of potholes. Other than a few minor hills here and there it was very flat, but had lovely country scenery, particularly around Long Marston on Marston Moor. Some places to get refreshment are Long Marston, Tockwith, and Askham Richard. The route took me about 2 hours and had few cars or obstacles. At 20 miles this route is great for training or a short weekend ride with the family.
