An easy ride on roads that don't get to busy. It's easy to keep 25mph plus on the start, but a headwind on the A57 usually slows it to 19/20 ave mph The hill's in Rainhill are really good for good speed sprints, and the climbs are just about right to enjoy An enjoyable quick ride....ideal to get you ready for your tea after work !! I use a s training route when I can, and you can short cut it to ten miles by missing the Rainhill loop out (see the map on the page..) Brian..

For me to keep a 19/20mph average, it would have to be all downhill with a tailwind.
