While we are visiting our daughter in England we would like to ride along the canals. Preferable for a few days at a time. We will be based at Dove Holes (near Buxton Derbyshire). As long as we can get to the start point by Public transport, any where within a few hours journey would be OK.
We could ride upto 50 miles a day and would be happy to stay in Pubs or B&B's We would prefer to ride paths rather than roads.
Does anyone have some suggested routes?
Thanks, Bernie and Faye

Hi bernie...welcome to the forum
I'll take a look. I ride that area on the roads and know the towns pretty well. Let me see what I can come up with..
Where are you coming to England from ??

We're coming from Australia. We were in England 3 Years ago for our daughters wedding While we were there we were able to do some riding. We did the ride around the Ladybower Resevoir, did roads and rail-trail around Ashbourgh and also rode over to Ayam and Tideswell.
In time we may need some advise on Bikes. We may bring ours over but we are also thinking of buying bikes in England and leaving them their so whenever we come back we'll have someting to ride.
Regards, Bernie
